Art is for all

Dear average heterosexual man,

Yesterday, I went to a ballet show, the last 40 min of which were utterly mesmerizing. Today, I auditioned for a choir. I also went to the gym, and on my way there, I listened to "Somewhere over the rainbow". Mind you, I am straight.

Why are you afraid of going to art events? Agreed, ballet is not the most masculine dance on the planet; I can assure you however that your heart will not start beating for a guy if you go to a ballet show or watch an opera. Art, it turns out, does not change your inclinations. As much as it does not turn gay men into straight ones, it does not transform heterosexuals to homosexuals either.

Art is for all, heteros and homos alike. I hope you will find those insights useful.
